When it comes to digital photo-printing, cheap inkjets jobbies can't compete with the Camedia P-400 from Olympus.

Camedia P-400 employs the "dye-sublimation" technology used by professional photo labs to produce prints that look like they came out of, well, a professional photo lab. It has numerous PC connection options but can also interface directly with your digital camera or just its memory card.

Churning out glorious glossies one sheet at a time--an 8 X 10 or up to 16 wallet size snaps--the only down side to this amazing unit is the unrelenting cost of keeping it fed. It uses A4 or A5 photo paper (only), which run about $1 to $2 each, and a special ink ribbon cartridge good for a mere 50 sheets at nearly $70 a pop.
