Ideazon Inc. has just released a Doom 3 Limited Edition Keyset for their much-lauded Zboard, delivering a Doom-centric keyboard configuration for precision control.

The ZBoard itself is a raw keyboard chassis that accommodates a variety of overlays designed for specific applications and user needs, associating common key strokes into easy-access, ergonomic clusters and custom-labeled commands while the standard QWERTY keys are compacted and moved slightly aside.

With the Doom 3 keyset--as with the generic FPS keyset--, you've got a "butterfly" directional control scheme with your arsenal buttoned and labeled and within easy reach for a quick call up of a specific weapon or task. It works for most FPS games, though macros may need to be manually configured. In fact, you can custom configure it the whole thing specific to your interface preferences, including binds accepting up to seven simultaneous key presses. Swappable keysets are also available for games in other genres, including Age of Mythology, Everquest, Neverwinter Knights and the like.

Plus, there's a standard keyboard overlay for conventional computer usage and a host of software-specifics sets for Photoshop, Word, Excel, etc, which cluster up frequent tasks into intuitive configurations.
