It’s ironic that the well-marketed PlayStation2, Sony’s super-duper “computer entertainment system,” is establishing itself as a great puzzle-game console.

FantaVision, Super Bust-A-Move and now Aqua Aqua – know as the antiquated Wetrix on every other platform – all puzzlers that would play equally as well on a pocket calculator save for the dazzle of jiggling googlygons. Reminiscent of Tetris, Aqua Aqua involves blocks of topography falling from the sky and carefully positioned to make basins of water. Speckled with random hazards such as bombs, meteorites, earthquakes, element-breathing bosses, this is a frantic-thinkers delight wrapped in a cute and cuddly Aquarian-inspired theme. Go PS2!
