If you're one to play golf more for the off road cart driving and guilt-free consumption of adult beverages in a park than the pomp and plaid pant gentlemanliness of it all, check out Hot Shots Golf Fore.

Fourth in a lauded series (get it? Four? Fore?), Hot Shots golfing is all about goofy, caricaturized characters duffing away on one of a dozen different detailed but cartoonified courses. There's even Mini Golf, if that's your thing. Game mechanics do manage to simulate the physics of dimpled ball whacking with appreciable accuracy--there's actually a bona fide golf simulation underneath it all--, but the name of the game is larger-than-life fun, heroic animations and a 1-wood more powerful than the Millennium Falcon.

Controls, as always, are accessible to everyone with a new "easy" play mode that would be better described as "way easy" mode. Fore also marks the franchise's first foray into online play, where like-minded players can play together and even join tournaments.

Adult beverages not included, but your coffee table is probably nearby enough to fancy itself a cup-holder in a cart.
