Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
Though sharing a game title and the same (really) basic premise of the film, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen for Wii has little in common with PlayStation3 and Xbox 360 version of the game. For example, it isn't good.

Though published by Activision, Revenge of the Fallen for Wii was developed by Krome Studios, whereas Luxoflux Corp. designed the high definition extravaganza for PlayStation3 and Xbox 360.

Though the Wii version of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is a graphically homely, interactively confining, controllably clunky and often way too waggly game sharing a title with the latest Transformers movie but none of its outlandish, escapist flair, it's probably not the gang at Krome to blame. It seems like the unexceptional tools they were asked to work with left them handcuffed and hobbled, on a crunch deadline, no doubt, and maybe underfunded, particularly when at work on a quick cash tie-in with movie hype momentum.

And that's the thing; not shoddy development practices but rather the fact that the Wii is incapable of huge, sprawling level design, of simultaneous renderings of detailed multitudes, of excessive action and too many animations vying for attention all at the same time.

But at the end of the day, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen for Wii is missing everything that elevates the PS3 and 360 version of the game above basic movie tie-in schlock, leaving you with just basic movie tie-in schlock.

While Activision has a pretty solid track record with movie tie-ins, the publishing powerhouse is clearly not immune to the lure of easy money for bad games.
