Making its first appearance on the Playstation2 and remaining true to the series, Hot Shots Golf 3 is all about ridiculing the sombre gentlemanliness of a day on the links (as earlier elucidated in A Nice Walk in the Virtual Woods: Memoirs of a Fake Golfer).

With trash talking caricature characters lacking sensible shoes, rule bending and a whole lot of improbable play augmented by outlandish golf-gadgetry, Hot Shots Golf 3 plays faster than most golf simulations with very little between-hole delays.

Suped-up and unbelievably gorgeous, it also includes an intelligent physics model that has various weather and course conditions greatly impacting play.

And while it's mainly comedy themed, fun and easy to play, Hot Shots Golf 3 is also a rich, deep golf experience for those who care for such deep golf-sim richness.

Everybody wins.
