Hello Sliver, Motorola Launches Candy Bar Phone
Motorola and Rogers Wireless announced the arrival of the super-slim Motorola SLVR L7 mobile phone today, promising to do for the "candy bar" cell phone form-factor what the
RAZR did for clamshell design, i.e. make it sexy and sell millions.
Measuring a wafer thin 1.15cm and weighing in at less than 100g, the new SLVR borrows key design aspects from the award-winning RAZR phone minus the flip-top but including that sleek, black metal exterior, the precision cut, chemically-etched keypad and a large color display screen--not to mention functionality out the yin-yang, including Bluetooth, photo and video capture, and iTunes and MP3-playback of about 100 songs on half a Gig of TransFlash memory.
Also, from May 10 - June 15, 2006, Motorola will be running the
SLVR City promotional campaign in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver; a contest where people can win the new SLVR, other Motorola stuff or a trip for two to Milan, Italy. Official contest rules and entry info will be posted at
www.motorola.ca/slvrcity when the contest kicks off. Nothing there now but some SLVR info and pictures to drool over.
Motorola SLVR L7 is available exclusively in Canada through Rogers Wireless retail locations or online at
www.shoprogers.com for $199.99 with a three-year service agreement.
