It's official, Sony has pegged March 24 to debut their hugely anticipated PlayStation Portable (PSP) in North America. Available for a suggested retail price of $249.99, PSP will available as a Value Pack (only); a bundle to include the PSP itself, obviously, plus a 32 MB Memory Stick Duo, a pair of headphones, a battery pack, AC adaptor and a soft cover carrying case. As a bonus, the first million PSP Value Packs will also ship with a full feature Spider-Man 2 UMD movie disc--which is also happens to be the (only) one of five movies currently available for the device, but a quintessential showpiece for the PSP's potential as multifarious multimedia device just the same. Most importantly, a solid line up of high caliber games from high profile publishers will also be immediately available, including Ape Escape, Dynasty Warriors, FIFA 2005, Metal Gear Acid, Need for Speed Rivals and Tiger Woods PGA TOUR--two dozen in all with another 24 still in development but expected soon. PSP game will sell for $40 - $50 (USD) each.
