From the creators of the irreverently hilarious, Penny Arcade comic strip, Penny Arcade Inc. just announced that this year's Penny Arcade Expo (PAX) will be held, once again, in Bellevue, Washington, Aug 25 through Aug 27.

Ballyhooed as a three-day, non-stop celebration of all things videogamey, PAX 06 is expected to top last year's event, which saw some 9,000 hardcore attendees, which was almost too much, so this year's PAX will be held in three different, yet to be announced, hotel convention halls.

Attendees can expect sneak-peek game demos galore, plenty of panel discussions, nightly concerts 'til the wee hours, and LAN, tabletop and console tournaments out the yin yang, including the celebrated, Survivor-style PAX Omegathon.

Unlike many videogame exposition, PAXes run non-stop, 24 hours a day.

Pre-registration is now open to the public at www.pennyarcadeexpo.com. Pre-registering will give you early access to the show and is the only way to be considered for a contestant spot in the Omegathon.
