Gamers compete for Call of Duty 3 sneak peek

Activision just announced that it's looking for the best Call of Duty players nationwide to enlist for an opportunity to be the first consumers to play the eagerly-awaited Call of Duty 3 before its fall release.
From Aug. 11 to Aug. 17, gamers can log on to IGN Entertainment’s GameSpy site atarena.gamespy.com/cod3 and register for a chance to participate in bracket-style tournaments of Call of Duty 2 for Xbox 360, whittling down to twenty-four finalists who will then pack their bags in early October and head to Call of Duty HQ in Santa Monica, Calif., home of Call of Duty 3 developer Treyarch, to go behind the scenes, meet the team and get an early peek at this year’s new title.
Sadly, if you're a resident of Vermont, Maryland, Canada or anywhere else on the planet other than the USA, you're not eligible. What a tease.
