Like a left-handed apology, SteelSeries, purveyors of high performance gaming peripherals, has just launched a new version of their SteelSound 5H headset.

Aptly titled SteelSound 5H v2, the new 'phones apparently address several key issues discovered through consumer feedback on version 1.

Hence, v2 is an optimized version of the original SteelSound 5H headset. The new headset reportedly boasts improved microphone quality, a longer microphone cord, bigger (and more comfortable) ear cushions, additional frame pressure and "numerous" other technical design improvements.

The 5H headphones w/ pull out boom mic features a custom-engineered soundscape designed specifically to enhance performance and immersion in gaming; developed and optimized for in-game sound frequencies, which makes in-game sounds like footsteps, alerts and gunfire especially clear.
