The fruits of a partnership between Karlskrona, Sweden's GlobalFun, a publisher of wireless content, and mobile game developer Big Blue Bubble of Walnut Creek, Calif. are finally ripe.

The two companies are calling their soon-to-be-launched mobile role-playing game Elven Chronicles "the most highly anticipated, full-length, mobile, epic fantasy game to date." True or not, that's certainly the most full-length and epic string of superlatives put together to promote a videogame in quite some time, surely worthy of some sort of award.

Then again, with small-screen successes such as Jewel Quest, Destroy All Humans and a mobile game version of Fox Televisions' hit terrorism drama 24 under its belt, this latest Big Blue Bubble offering does hold promise.

Boasting more than 20 hours of gameplay, Elven Chronicles will feature a storyline that will appeal to Dungeons & Dragons fans: a young knight, along with his apprentice magician buddy, seeks to redeem his good name and return to the kingdom that once banished him. Of course, an army of animated skeletons, giant spiders, minotaurs and other unsavory creatures stands between our two heroes and their goal.

Elven Chronicles is slated for release next month. More info at www.elvenchronicles.com.
