New Xbox 360 and Call of Duty 3 bundle, $499 CDN
Xbox Canada and Activision have just teamed up for the release of the latest Xbox 360 console bundle. A limited time offer and available exclusively to Canadian gamers, the $499 bundle includes an Xbox 360 console, a one-month Gold subscription to Xbox Live and a copy of the Activision's superlative World War II shooter, Call of Duty 3. All told, the offer represents about $70 in savings, which equates to buying the console and getting the game and Gold trial for free.
Too, Xbox 360 gamer are also being offered a chance to visit the historic battlefields at Normandy by winning a trip to France in the "Answer the Call on Xbox Live Tournament." Players need to qualify by playing Call of Duty 3 on Xbox Live during the tournament running from May 4th to 6th, 2007.
In the tournament, a total of $10,000 in prizes is up for grabs, including Microsoft Points and an Activision game library.
There's a catch, of course. Gamers pretty much have to woodshed to win the biggie. Playing just 0 - 5 hours during the tournament will net a chance to win one of five prizes of 2,800 Microsoft Points; 5 - 10 hours gets you in the draw to win 5,000 Microsoft Points and an Activision library of Xbox 360 games; and gamers who play more than 10 hours will be entered into the grand prize draw to win a 6 night, 7 day trip for two to Normandy, France.
Red Bull sold separately.
To enter the tournament, download the "Answer the Call" gamer pic from the Xbox Live Marketplace between March 1st and May 4th. Complete rules and details on the "Answer the Call on Xbox Live Tournament" at
