This summer, PlayStation Canada is creating a storm, a MotorStorm to be precise (ain't that clever?). In the PlayStation Player's Cup, gamers will be able to show off their racing prowess at select Best Buy locations, competing for a chance to be flown to Toronto to participate at Gaming Invasion in September.

Beginning July 21st in Richmond, British Columbia and continuing for the next seven weekends across Canada, the PlayStation Canada events team will set up an interactive racing area for people to put their skills to the test in a race of MotorStorm. The fastest times in each region will be declared the winner, earning the trip to Toronto. Qualifiers from the seven regions of: British Columbia, Edmonton, Calgary, Toronto, Montreal, Winnipeg/Regina and London/Windsor will engage in a MotorStorm tournament with the grand champion earning a cool $5000 at Gaming Invasion.

The Players Cup isn't just about racing as there's fun for the whole family. Anyone can come up and challenge a family member or a PlayStation event staff to a "sing off" with the latest release of SingStar. The winner of the singing dual will win a small prize. If you'd rather press buttons instead of singing a song you can instead try a game of PaRappa the Rapper with the winner again winning a small prize.

For a complete list of tour dates, please check out www.playerscup.ca. Tour stops will also be advertised in various urban papers (weeklies) and also on select local radio stations as several locations will feature live radio remotes.
