Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) is setting to release a new, limited edition "SingStar Playstation2 Pack," a game bundle that will include a "ceramic white" PlayStation2 videogame console, a copy of the karaoke game, SingStar Pop, as well as two USB microphones.

This November, just in time for the forthcoming holiday shopping frenzy, the limited edition Ceramic White PlayStation2 bundle will hit stores shelves for just US$149.99 / C$159.99. Bearing in mind that the white PS2 features the same sleek design and functionality of the a regular "Boring Black" PlayStation2, the game system that's sold more than 110 million units to date and sports additional features such as DVD and CD playback, it's a heck of a deal.

Throwing in a copy of the critically acclaimed karaoke game, SingStar Pop, plus two quality USB microphones originally released specifically for the game, and add to that a plethora (as in, thousands) of other, now-inexpensive PS2 games -- including several other Karaoke games --, and you've got an old dog with a new trick leanred, essentially re-branding the "computer entertainment system" to sell as a "social game system." And why not? The thing's got legs; might as well strut -- in white stockings no less.
