EA signs publishing deal with Epic Games
News you might find useful because it'll net something tangible someday: EA and Epic in bed together. In Poland. Everyone is very excited.

Electronic Arts and Epic Games just inked a publishing agreement for a new and unnamed action title for the PlayStation3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC.

Epic Games is the powerhouse development studio best known for killer franchises like Gears of War and Unreal (as well as the cutting edge technology that fuels them). EA is the powerhouse publisher (and developer) best known for, well, every other game ever released (or so it seems) and every single subsequent sequel based on every other game ever released (or so it also seems).

Both companies are known for occasionally making important announcements with very little actual substance (following up with vaguely informative tidbits every few months that eventually result in something worth talking about or, in this case, worth playing).

For example, aside from a couple of self-congratulatory quotes and some shared back-patting, EA and Epic have only revealed that the new intellectual property (IP) is in development at People Can Fly, the Poland-based studio in which Epic acquired a majority stake in last year in order to make "amazing fantastic games."

The publisher of the freshly acquired underway Amazing Fantastic is now EA. No word on when or what it is that's coming to PC, PS3, and X360, but amazing fantastic is a good start.
