Site inspires for budget-conscious 'BOO-It-Yourselfers'

Do-it-yourself (DIY) resource site HowStuffWorks.com is reporting a doubling of searches by people looking to create their own Halloween costumes this year compared to this time last year.
Offering practical guides, tips and explanations on everything from setting up an HDTV to the where and wherefore of fothergilla gardenia (hint: think shrubbery), Discovery Communications' HowStuffWorks.com is featuring an aptly timed Halloween library of content.
The dedicated section features the likes of simple "no sew" costume ideas, mask-making out of "a milk jug and a bit of enthusiasm" guides, pumpkin carving patterns and homemade Halloween decoration tips.
